Our car batteries are built different.
We start by taking down your vehicle's exact information determining what kind of battery you need. All our batteries are over the original manufacturer's specification and made for Canadian winter. On average our batteries have a 200+ higher cranking amps rating than the batteries you will find in most auto retailers and roadside assistance companies at a LOWER price than both.
What exactly is cranking amps? This is the rating assigned to an automotive battery and what it means is that the car has more power to start in the winter the higher the cranking amps on a battery are. Since we are an Emergency Roadside Car Assistance provider we try to eliminate as many problems that could occur down the line after you make your purchase by selling ONLY batteries that are OVER the manufacturers required rating.

Signs that your Car battery needs to be replaced.
The average standard for a car or auto battery is that it will last you about 3-5 years after purchase. In our expertise and time working in the cold Calgary winters in Alberta, we have found on average that batteries in most cars will start to degrade as early as 2 years and be at the end of their life by 2.5-3 years. Several factors go into how long a car battery will last you. Some of the factors that will determine how long a car battery will last include:
- Storage of the vehicle (where is the car kept? Is it in a heated garage in the elements during the winter, or a non-heated garage)
- The quality of the battery, is it a battery with very few cranking amps? Is it made very cheaply?
- There is an issue with the vehicles alternator and or charging system that caused the battery to prematurely wear out.
- Was the correct battery installed in the first place (a lot of technicians and mechanics will install whatever battery is close enough rather than the right battery causing you issues down the line since the car needed a higher specification battery)
Once a car battery has started to go it will give you several problems as well as signs that your battery is gone. One of the biggest signs is of course if the battery is dead and you require constant jumpstarts. Another big sign is you left your car sitting for a week and the car battery is dead. On average a car battery can sit for up to 2 months without the battery dying. Your vehicle has built-in systems to engage the battery when it is sitting to make sure it does not die, even when you don't turn on the vehicle. The last major sign you can see if you notice any of the signs on the image on your right, it typically means that the battery HAS to be changed.
